GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Green Bay Police Department is already brainstorming on how to keep the public safe during the 2025 NFL Draft; which will be held at Lambeau Field.
Conversations between the police department, the Packers, NFL and other partners are in the beginning phases.
“The first step is to understand all of the different event needs and what to expect,” said Chief Chris Davis. “Then we can calibrate the resource needs based on that.”
One of the areas the department is working on currently is expanding their bike patrol.
“We’re working on getting about 24 new mountain bikes and then some training from another agency.” said Chief Davis.
Additionally, the department is working on selecting an individual to be the incident commander for police department response of the event.
