DUNDAS, WI (WTAQ) — Bollocks.
A Calumet County staple is coming to an end this weekend, and possibly for good.
The Dundas Testicle Festival will be held this Saturday and will not return for the foreseeable future.
The music and food festival features all-you-can-eat deep fried bull testicles with the price of admission.
Tara Erickson is one of the owners of Rocky and Tara’s Nut House, one of the two bars that hosts the event, and says she’s selling her business and the owner of the other bar, Two of a Kind, isn’t willing to go it alone.
“You build a lot of trust as business partners to do an event like this,” Erickson told WTAQ. “So when I go… there’s a large bond of trust broken. She said to me that she couldn’t trust anyone [else] to run the event.”
Two of a Kind also cited space concerns at their bar.

The news comes despite a slew of successful, growing years for the festival. The unusual cuisine, plentiful liquor options, and musical offerings drew in a large crowd. It’s been especially popular among bikers.
The two bars are not the first to host the Testicle Festival in Dundas. It dates back to 1994.
“The person who started it… when she started it, it was a completely different event,” Erickson said. “It was a much smaller event.”
That leaves open the opportunity for someone else to come in and pick up where the two bars are leaving off.
They just have to have the stones.
“I hope it’s not the last one, but it’s the last one for me,” said Erickson. “It’s successful. Why not [continue it]?”
