GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Monday was anything but “boaring” for the Green Bay Police Department.
Posted on its Facebook page, the department told the tale of Albert the 300-lb potbellied pig who lost his way on the city’s west side.
Officers spotted Albert out on the town after he escaped from a fence that was accidently left open.
To safely return Albert home, officers went door-to-door asking if anyone recognized him. It didn’t take long for a neighbor to point officers in the right direction.
Albert’s owner was waiting with his favorite treats: fruit snacks.
“This evening, all can rest at ease, as Albert, who lost his way, is now fast asleep, snoring in the hay,” police wrote.
