GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Bay Beach Amusement Park is opening on May 6.
The popular Green Bay attraction will be open on weekends only until May 23. Britney Burkart-Labar is the facilities supervisor; she says this is the first summer in the last six years where their levels of staffing have started out strong.
“We will have as many rides open as we can, there might be one or two kiddie rides where we have rotating staff,” said Burkart-Labar. “But besides that we have great numbers for this weekend.”
Popular rides that won’t operate this season are the Chairplane, Sea Dragon, and Falling Star. Bay Beast will not be available at the start of the season; a new replacement, which is 10 feet taller, is coming later this summer. Another new ride, NebulaZ, is set to open this summer.
