BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) — The Brown County Federation of History Organizations (BCFHO) has announced that it will host a new event, Brown County History Days from May 15, 2023, to May 21, 2023.
Fourteen Brown County historical locations will provide a week filled with over 20 free programs spread throughout Brown County. This event invites the public to visit Brown County’s historical organizations, while enjoying programs presented by expert staff in unique historical environments.
“We found that is was really important and cool for us to work together to provide programming for our community, and represent organizations that are part of our group,” said James Peth, Chair of the Brown County Federation of History Organizations.
Participating organizations include:
Ashwaubenon Historical Society
Bay Area Genealogical Society
Brown County Historical Society
Green Bay Diocese Museum
Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame
Heritage Hill State Historical Park
Howard Suamico Historical Society
National Railroad Museum
Neville Public Museum
Oneida Nation Museum
Pulaski Area Historical Society
The Automobile Gallery
UW-Green Bay Archives Department
Viking House (located on UWGB Campus)
In the past, an event called the History Treasure Tour allowed the community to learn about various organizations over the span of just one day. This week-long event will allow greater opportunities for people to be able to attend every program they choose to.
A full schedule of programs and their descriptions will soon be posted to the BCFHO Facebook Page.
