GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Curative Connections in Green Bay says it’s “saving green by going green” this Earth Week.
The nonprofit recently installed 624 bi-facial monocrystalline solar panels.
The installation is estimated to save Curative $40,000 to $50,000 each year — or nearly $2 million over the course of the panels’ life.
The panels will also reduce the organization’s carbon footprint — a fact celebrated on Thursday during Curative’s Solar Celebration.
“We’ve got wonderful land and this is a very well-protected area, and we want to carry that on and be good stewards to make sure that continues to happen,” said Curative President/CEO Jeanne Stangel.
Money saved on electrical costs will support Curative’s current services, which help people with disabilities and aging adults maintain independence.
