BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) –Brown County drivers… listen up.
Starting Monday, the heavily traveled highway ramp from westbound 172 to southbound 41 is closing, and it will remain closed for more than a month.
A detour is set up with drivers heading north on 41, exiting onto Lombardi, turning left then re-entering I-41 from Lombardi.
It’s about a 3-mile detour.
You can also take Oneida or Ashland to access 41 south, if possible.
This is part of the much larger highway 172 construction project that stretches from the airport to I-43; where drivers will continue to experience lane closures, as well as nightly ramp closures at G-V and Webster.
The westbound 172 ramp to southbound 41 ramp will close early Monday morning.
It’s scheduled to reopen May 22.
If you travel this stretch, plan ahead and give yourself some extra time.
