KEWAUNEE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in its investigation into a hit and run incident along a snowmobiling trail.
In the overnight hours of April 8/9, the department says a vehicle traveling southbound on County Highway C failed to negotiate the curve at the intersection of County Highway F. That caused the vehicle to leave the road and hit a snowmobile club sign and trail stop sign.
The department says the vehicle then intentionally continued to travel down the Ahnapee Trail and hit even more trail signs.
The suspect’s vehicle will likely have damage to the front of it. Based on evidence at the scene, the car is believed to be a dark gray or charcoal Toyota Camry.
Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department at (920) 388-7108.
