GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Green Bay man was arrested after being accused of driving a vehicle under the influence with two children inside.
On Tuesday, just before 4:30 p.m., a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper was on routine traffic patrol, when they saw a car with numerous equipment violations and expired registration traveling south on I-43, near Atkinson Drive.
The trooper activated their emergency lights and siren and vehicle pulled over and stopped.
After approaching the vehicle, the trooper reported signs of illegal drug use and evidence of impairment from the driver.
The 36-year-old driver completed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was subsequently placed under arrest for operating while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance, first offence with a minor passenger under 16 years of age.
Formal charges against the driver have not been filed.
