FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Pierce Manufacturing is honoring its first employee to reach 50 years of service.
Dan Genske has held several different positions since he first began at Pierce as an 18-year-old in 1973.
He has worked as a bar operator, utility man, assembler, welder and temp team lead.
Genske’s anniversary celebrations on Tuesday included a ride in one of the company’s fire trucks, treats galore and a paid day off.
“I’m a little excited,” Genske said. “It’s great to have a big group and a family here to help me celebrate this special day. And I’m hanging in there pretty good. I thought I was going to get a little bit too excited but I’m psyched up.”
Pierce was founded in 1913.
