DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) — If you were watching the NBC game show ‘The Wall’ on Tuesday night, you may have seen some familiar faces.
Door County Candle Company owners Nic and Christiana Trapani made their game show debut on Tuesday night. Christiana says it was the producers of the show who reached out to them about appearing on the show after hearing about their mission with the Ukraine Candles.
“They really wanted to have us because of the mission of what we were doing,” said Christiana. “And we were excited to share our mission with a whole different audience on that game show.”
The couple won $1.3 million that they’re now able to reinvest back into their business; so they can continue their efforts to be a philanthropic candle company. Additionally, Christiana said on Tuesday night after the show had aired, they already had hundreds of candles ordered from all across the United States.
“We got a lot of really sweet messages from all around the country saying they saw us on ‘The Wall’ and they wanted to support us.” said Christiana.
Nic and Christiana began talking to the producers of the show in March of 2022, and filmed the episode later in August in Burbank.
