SISTER BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The race for Sister Bay village president couldn’t have been closer. In fact, it all came down to a roll of the dice.
Both Nate Bell and Rob Zoschke received 256 votes.
When a tie happens, canvassers can choose the tie-breaking method, according to the village clerk. That could be simply picking a name out of a hat or flipping a coin. Or rolling the dice.
Bell rolled the higher number, securing the position.
While this may seem like an unlikely turn of events, it happened in Sister Bay about 20 years ago as well.
