GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A house fire on Green Bay’s west side has two people and one dog without a home.
The fire began around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. When the Green Bay Metro Fire Department arrived in the 700 block of Irvington Street, crews saw heavy smoke and flames coming out of a house’s second story.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire within 10 minutes.
Despite only being on the second floor of the home, the fire is estimated to have caused about $60,000 worth of damage.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
