GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Shavon Thomas was sentenced to six years on probation for choking a woman in January 2021.
Thomas, 30, was also sentenced to about six months in jail during Friday’s sentencing hearing, court records show. He was convicted of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, strangulation, and other charges.
Thomas choked a woman until she was unconscious and having a seizure. The two argued, and Thomas stated he was going to kill her, according to the criminal complaint.
Alcohol may have been a factor in the incident, as Thomas had a BAC of .229, according a preliminary breath test.
