KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – From Frosted Flakes to Honey Nut Cheerios, over 1,000 boxes of cereal could be seen falling like dominoes at Victor Haen Elementary School in Kaukauna.
Students aimed to collect 500 cereal boxes through Do Good Wisconsin’s Cereal Box Domino Challenge. But with support from community members and area businesses, Haen collected 1,083 cereal boxes just in time for National Cereal Day on March 7th.
Students are hoping their domino setup, which ran throughout the school to the gym, will receive recognition — and maybe even a trophy — from Do Good Wisconsin.
The cereal will be donated to Loaves and Fish’s Food Pantry in Kaukauna as well as other local pantries, like Heart of the Valley Food Pantry.
