TOWN OF AUBURN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Campbellsport woman was killed when her vehicle went off the road Sunday afternoon in Fond du Lac County.
Sheriff’s officials say they were called to Highway S, north of Earl Court, in the town of Auburn, just before 4 p.m.
Initial investigation showed that the 68-year-old woman was headed north when her vehicle left the road and went through a ditch, hitting a culvert at Earl Court. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital in West Bend, then airlifted to a hospital in Milwaukee, where she died.
Deputies believe the woman was impaired and speeding.
The woman’s name was not released.
