DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — UW-Oshkosh is offering discounted well water quality testing to Door County residents.
It’s part of the university’s program to provide education about the importance of testing well water as well as build a database of groundwater quality data in Door County.
The tests will look for total coliforms/E.coli and nitrate.
The cost is $30 for the first 300 registrants and $45 for those who register after the first 300. As an option, you can pay an additional $25 to test for arsenic, pH, alkalinity, hardness and iron.

Once registered, you will receive a sample kit in the mail, attend a virtual forum to learn how to properly sample and return your kit between April 28 and April 29 at designated drop-off locations. All participates will also receive their results along with a countywide summary of the study.
