GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Many people are heading to the polls for the state’s Primary Election.
Polls opened at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. You must be in line by 8 p.m. to cast your vote.
Terry Lee, Chief election inspector at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens polling location, shares what you need to be prepared.
“Bring your ID, you’re going to need to be able to physically say your name and other things like that.” said Lee. “Prepare for a little bit of a wait, but most of the time it should be a pretty decent turnout today. Nonetheless, you should be in and out of the polls fairly quickly.”
The election is a primary to choose finalists for the April 4 general election.
Wisconsin does allow same-day registration if you haven’t already registered.
