MADISON – Applications are now available for Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist program’s Outstanding Agriculture Professional and Farming for the Future awards.
The Outstanding Agriculture Professional Award recognizes members who have an off-farm career. The Farming for the Future Award recognizes members who own or work on the farm. Applicants are asked to share information about their role in agriculture, leadership experience and involvement in Farm Bureau.
“The Young Farmer and Agriculturist Committee is excited to recognize members excelling in agriculture careers through these award areas,” said WFBF YFA Chair Savannah Brown. “We have outstanding members doing great things for agriculture and this is an opportunity for us to celebrate their efforts.”
Applications for both awards are available at bit.ly/WIYFAContests and will be accepted until April 15. The winner of each award will receive $1,500 from GROWMARK, Inc., a trip to attend the American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers FUSION Conference and be a guest of WFBF at the 2024 Young Farmer and Agriculturist Conference.
The WFBF YFA Program is for members ages 18-35. Its goal is to get more young farmers and agriculturists acquainted with and involved in Farm Bureau through involvement in a variety of networking, learning and social activities. The YFA Program is funded by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation.
