FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — A scrap pile of recyclable material caught fire in Fond du Lac Sunday morning.
Fire crews arrived at at Sadoff’s Iron and Metal recycling center to find a large scrap pile of cars and other bulk recyclable materials burning.
An aerial apparatus extinguished the fire while someone from the a recycling center arranged for an equipment operator to break up the scrap pile.
Authorities report the materials in the burning pile were awaiting shredding as part of the recycling process.
No one was injured from the blaze.
