MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Menasha schools are encouraging residents to take a survey as the board seeks a new superintendent.
The role will be left vacant by Superintendent Chris VanderHeyden when he retires in June after 35 years in education.
The district is asking families, staff and community members to fill out a brief survey sharing the skills, values, experience and priorities they’d like to see in the next superintendent.
The survey closes Feb. 12.
Applications for the superintendent position, which is posted on WECAN, are due Feb. 17. The school district hired a CESA 6 team to lead the board through search, hiring and onboarding.
If board members are satisfied with the applicants, the board will select three finalists who will be interviewed on March 10.
The new superintendent would start July 1.
