DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One person was killed in an early morning crash in Door County.
The Door County Sheriff’s Office was called to a one vehicle car crash on State Highway 42 on the Ellison Bay Hill in the township of Liberty Grove at 4:47 Saturday morning.
Upon arrival rescue crews found a vehicle with heavy damage in a northbound ditch.
The initial investigation indicates the 33-year-old driver, Nathan McKillen of Ellison Bay, was driving northbound when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line and landing in a ditch before coming to a stop after hitting several trees.
McKillen was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Highway 42 was shut down for several hours.
The incident remains under investigation.
