DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The historic Bosse’s News & Tobacco celebrated its 125th anniversary Friday by officially cutting the ribbon on its new De Pere home.
The store had been calling Green Bay home since 1898, even after moving in the ’80s with the redevelopment of downtown.
But this old fashioned newsstand was forced to relocate, opening its new home at 107 S. Broadway in De Pere last month.
The store officially cut the ribbon on its new location Friday.
“We’re the oldest retailer in this northeast Wisconsin area, so it’s something to be proud of, but I’m still amazed,” said manager Lisa Mitchell.
Bosse’s will be offering special sales each month to celebrate their monumental anniversary.
Special events will be announced in the store and on its website throughout the year as well.
This month, customers have been able to get 25% off books, excluding used, bargain and local author books.
