GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The National Weather Service in Green Bay is warning of a snowstorm making its way to our area late Wednesday night through Thursday morning.
Meteorologist Rebecca Kruk said overall the storm is expected to bring between 4-8 inches of snow; and drivers should be especially cautious of snowy roads during their Thursday morning commute.
“With higher snowfall rates of an inch per hour, the snowplows may struggle to keep up.” said Kruk. “So be alert when you go out the door Thursday morning.”
The snow is expected to be a heavy, wet snow. Kruk recommends using a snowplow if possible to clear out driveways. If shoveling is the only option, make sure to take frequent breaks.
However, because the snow is heavy there is less concern for blowing snow on the roads.
The storm is expected to taper off between 7-8 a.m. on Thursday.
