OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — UW-Oshkosh is investigating reports of possible mold in one of its residence halls.
In November, the facilities services department received a handful of work orders from students requesting a check for mold in six rooms in South Scott, a letter to UW-Oshkosh students obtained by FOX 11 states.
Residents reported seeing what appeared to be black mold near heating units.
UW-Oshkosh says staff tested the rooms and determined no black mold was present in the rooms, but the results did show elevated or atypical levels of more common molds in six rooms. Results from two additional rooms tested in North Scott did not indicate elevated or atypical levels of any mold.
