APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The City of Appleton is offering a total of $3 million to support the development of affordable housing.
The city announced it was accepting applications from developers Monday for its Affordable Housing American Rescue Plan Act Grant.
The project is funded by ARPA funds — or COVID-19 relief dollars — because it is specifically looking to increase housing security for communities negatively economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Projects that qualify for this one-time funding should develop, repair and operate affordable housing services or programs, according to the city.
The city will host three information sessions to provide support about the grant application process. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but all sessions will be recorded.
You can register for one of the below sessions by clicking on the date you’re interested in:
Nov. 17 at 2 p.m.
Nov. 30 at 10:30 a.m.
Dec. 6 at 11 a.m.
Completed applications are due by 4 p.m. on Dec. 15. Interested developers can apply online.
