GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — A ground breaking was held Monday morning for a new bike park on Green Bay’s Baird Creek Greenway.
The Saris Mountain Bike Park will have a lot to offer when it’s complete.
“It is basically a skills park that will serve anyone on a bike,” said Holly Baseman with the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation. “It will have a beginner, intermediate, and advanced track.”
It’s located on Triangle Hill at 500 Beverly Rd. Baseman says cities that have built similar parks have seen been big benefits.
“We’ve seen great things happen for places like Marquette, Michigan, where they’ve built a feature like this and have seen a tourism increase,” Baseman told WTAQ.
It’ll open officially in August.
