MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ – The Brewers got production up and down their lineup in a 10-3 win over Toronto to take two of three from the Jays this weekend.
Willy Adames, Rowdy Tellez, and Omar Narvaez all recorded multiple hits on the day. Tellez’s ledger included a pair of two-run home runs in the first and second innings.
Christian Yelich went 1-3 with an RBI groundout and two runs scored.
Jandel Gustave was the winning pitcher after Starter Chi Chi Gonzalez was pulled following four innings of work. Gustave went two innings and allowed just two hits for his first win of the season.
A trio of relievers then went an inning each to close out the win.
Milwaukee improves to 42-33 on the season and has a one game lead over the St Louis Cardinals in the NL Central. Milwaukee travels to Tampa, Florida where they’ll play two games in 24 hours against the Tampa Bay Rays between Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon.
