APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A former pastor pleaded not guilty Thursday to possession of child pornography charges, and a Sept. 13 trial date was set.
Rick Haberland faces 13 counts of child porn possession, and one count of possession of methamphetamine.
Haberland was arrested after Outagamie County sheriff’s deputies searched his home. The search came after the sheriff’s office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Most recently, Haberland was the pastor of Oneida United Methodist Church, according to sheriff’s officials. He previously served at New Hope United Methodist Church in De Pere, Suring and Hickory United Methodist Churches in Suring, Phillips United Methodist Church in Phillips and Tabor United Methodist Church in Eden, Wisconsin.
