OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A registered sex offender is charged with distribution and possession of child pornography.
Matheau Martinez, 38, of Oshkosh reportedly used “peer-to-peer” software to distribute images and digital videos depicting child pornography. Based on a previous conviction, Martinez is required to register as a sexual offender in the state of Wisconsin.
As a result, he faces enhanced mandatory minimum penalties. He faces up to 40 years in federal prison on the distribution charge and up to 20 years on the possession charge.
