(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers fell a run short of defeating the Chicago Cubs in Chicago on Tuesday, losing 8-7 when Patrick Wisdom hit a solo home run off of Brad Boxberger in the eighth inning.
Eric Lauer started for the Brewers and gave up 3 runs over 4 innings.
Brewers manager Craig Counsell talked about Lauer’s performance.
Counsell said that Lauer wasn’t quite as good as he has been in previous outings.
And then there was the relief outing of Brewers reliever Trevor Kelly. Kelly gave up 4 runs on 4 hits and didn’t record an out.
Counsell talked about what happened.
