KIEL, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A fifth bomb threat in Kiel caused an evacuation Tuesday of not only schools in the district, but city hall and the Kiel Public Library as well.
Just before 9:30 a.m., police say it received an email with a bomb threat directed at Kiel Middle School, Kiel High School, Kiel School District Office, Zielanis Elementary School, Kiel City Hall and the Kiel Public Library.
The threat once again referred to the ongoing Title IX investigation being conducted by the Kiel Area School District.
The email was also sent to members of the media, a school staff member and others not affiliated with the school district.
As a precautionary measure, employees at all locations were evacuated and the Kiel police, as well as the fire department conducted a search of all buildings.
School buildings are empty as classes were previously scheduled to be virtual in response to the ongoing threats.
No devices were found and all buildings were cleared.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were notified of the fifth threat and have been assisting local law enforcement since the first threat was received last week.
