FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) — Fond du Lac police say that a social media threat made against students at Fond du Lac High School is not credible.
The students involved in making the threat, which was posted on Snapchat on Monday, have been identified, including a male suspect who was attributed to making the comment.
Fond du Lac Police investigators also learned that back on Thursday, May 26 a student alleged that while walking through a hallway she heard a male subject state he had a gun. She told police she did not see any weapon nor hear any specific threats to harm anyone. This student did not report this comment to any staff or law enforcement.
It was brought to the attention of police on Monday after the comment was shared through other social media platforms.
Students will return to the school Wednesday as per usual, but police will maintain an increased presence on district campuses.
