HOWARD, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Bay View Middle School has been cleared for re-entry after it was evacuated for a strange odor Friday.
The Howard-Suamico School District says around 11 a.m., two students reported experiencing nausea or feeling faint. The school nurse evaluated both students. The students were eventually released to their parents.
School leaders say an abundance of caution led them to evacuate the entire building. Fire and police agencies went to the school to check it out. In the meantime, students were bused to nearby Green Bay Community Church.
By 4:15 p.m., all students were picked up or bused home safely.
