APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford has selected a leader from Kimberly to be the city’s next public works director.
Dani Block has 15 years of experience in public management and is currently the Kimberly village administrator. She would succeed Paula Vandehey, who is retiring next month.
“Dani’s experience as a professional engineer and public administrator, coupled with her deep understanding of the Fox Cities and proven track record of excellent leadership and collaboration, make her an excellent fit for this critical role,” Mayor Woodford said in a news release.
“Dani’s passion, energy and experience make her a perfect fit for the Public Works Department,” Vandehey said in a news release. “After 33 years I know that I am leaving the City in great hands!”
The Appleton city council will review Woodford’s recommendation at its meeting on Wednesday.
