DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) – No one was injured in a garage fire Sunday morning.
Around 5:56 a.m., DePere Fire Rescue Department was sent to the 1000 block of Fay Court for a report of a structure fire.
When they arrived, crews found a single-family home with a detached garage that was heavily involved in fire.
The fire was starting to spread to the outside of the single-story house. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly, and prevent the fire from extending into the house.
The garage was a complete loss, and the outside of the house had moderate damage from the fire.
The vehicles parked in and around the garage were also a total loss.
A neighboring house and garage were also damaged from the extreme heat of the fire.
All occupants of the home were safely out of the structure.
Fire crews and investigators were on the scene for around 4 hours. The estimated damage to the garage, house, vehicles, and exposure residence is about $300,000.
