GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Some young entrepreneurs put their skills to the test in a business project Saturday at the Urban Hub.
About 35 kids, between 7 and 12 years old, set up booths during the Children’s Business Fair.
They sold food, art, jewelry, crafts, and more, to real customers.
Solid Foundation Learning, the organization which put on the event, hopes to inspire young ones to learn and get involved with business.
“Kids are really proud, proud to show off what they’ve made, excited that they can have some money to spend on their own, and a few of them actually have plans for reinvesting that money back into their next business project,” says Denise McFarland, the founder of Solid Foundation Learning.
McFarland adds the fair has grown in popularity since it first started, and is now held four times a year. The next planned fair will be in early August.
