WITTENBERG, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A school district in Shawano County is mourning the loss of one of its staff members.
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District said Monday that Ben Deitz, the district’s technology director, died as a result of injuries suffered in an April 7 crash.
Deitz died the day before his 28 birthday.
The district did not release details of the crash or its location.
An online fundraiser has been established to benefit Deitz’s family, which included his wife, Kysa, and young son.
