APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Officials in Outagamie County held an event Tuesday to recognize “Work Zone Awareness Week” in the county.
Officials wore bright safety vests to demonstrate how to be safe in work zones along the highway.
They continue to remind drivers to stay safe when driving through road construction.
“There’s a lot of danger for you as a driver to be careful of holes, structures, concrete walls, et cetera. We need to make sure that you’re careful there. It’s good for all of us,” said Dean Steingraber, Outagamie County Highway Commissioner.
Outagamie County is encouraging people to wear orange for safety Wednesday, as part of a social media campaign.
