WAUPUN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in a Fond du Lac County crash that killed a woman and injured three other people.
It happened just before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 151 near Oak Center Road in the town of Waupun.
Officials say a southbound vehicle, driven by a 40-year-old Waupun woman, rear ended another southbound vehicle.
The vehicle, driven by the 40-year-old woman, then entered the median and rolled several times, ejecting the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old Beaver Dam man, lost control after being struck and slid into the ditch. The driver and his two passengers were taken to the hospital, treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.
