GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A new fine art gallery in Green Bay is showing off commissioned pieces from a Packers Hall of Famer.
Former quarterback, Brett Favre, has 23 pieces of commissioned artwork on display at the Dg Clearing Gallery, located in the Olde Main Street Arts District of Green Bay.
This is the gallery’s first show.
During his career, Favre commissioned numerous iconic paintings of himself setting records, milestones and other legends and teammates of the Packers. The works were commissioned by him for his restaurant adjacent to Lambeau Field. He worked almost exclusively with famed international painter, James Hartel who’s commissions include Dick Monfort, Reggie White, The Bradley Center, Arianna Grande, Fleetwood Mac, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow along with hundreds of others.
Both Favre and his wife Deanna are involved in the arts and youth development. They started the Favre 4 Hope Foundation, Brett Favre Fourward Foundation & Deanna Favre Hope Foundation, giving financial assistance to the undeserved and disabled children and breast cancer patients, in Wisconsin and Mississippi.
