GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman faces two counts of mistreatment of animals causing death after allegedly hanging two dogs from trees.
Pamela McNeill, 56, is expected to make an initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
According to the criminal complaint, police were called to a park and ride in Howard for a dead dog hanging in a tree.
“(The officer) then pointed out to Pamela that she had a dog the last time Police talked to her and inquired where it was. Pamela advised she killed them both and hung them in trees. She said they became vicious although later she said they had not bit or snapped at her, but just growled,” the complaint states.
She said she hanged the dogs on Monday.
If convicted, she faces up to 3 years, 6 months in the prison system for each count.
A Brown County Sheriff’s Dept. official tells FOX 11 there may be mental competency concerns with McNeill.
McNeill is expected in court Wednesday.
