KIMBERLY, WI (WTAQ) — The YMCA of the Fox Valley has added something new: 24 hour gym access, seven days a week.
It’s at their Heart of the Valley YMCA location in Kimberly. Sue Pawlowski says it’s something people have asked for.
“The last several years we’ve had people asking for longer hours, for people that have worked shift work,” said Pawlowski. “We’ve always thought about that, had it in the back of our minds.”
It’s only available for members, and those members have to purchase a special fob for $12 to access the YMCA outside of regular hours.
“Well we already have about 150 people that bought in one week a fob so they can have access so it probably would just grow from there.

There will be no staff available to help members outside of the Y’s regular hours. The areas open 24/7 are all covered by video surveillance and security and include the selector and free weights along with the walking track.
