GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – It’s currently the offseason at 1265 Lombardi Avenue, but there was plenty of activity there on Saturday.
The Packers had its annual Project Play 60 event in the Atrium.
The event featured popular inflatables, interactive physical activity games, a climbing wall, a “Ninja Warrior”-style obstacle course, as well as light yoga, meditation, and mental health tips being offered.
The goal is to get kids to exercise for at least 60 minutes a day, even in the winter.
“It’s been really cold the last couple of weeks, and so, recesses have been indoors, and to be able to provide this space, and remind kids and families that we can exercise, we can get out in the wintertime, there are places, there are new things we can learn, and just make that part of the routine again,” said Amanda Wery, the Packers’ community outreach senior coordinator.
The event ran from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and was free to the public.
