GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – January was a very, very cold month.
Taso Kallas with the National Weather Service in Green Bay says it wasn’t just cold, it was dry, too.
“We didn’t have that much snow. For example, in Green Bay, we only had 7.5 inches of snow in January,” Kallas told WTAQ. “The normal is 14.3.”
Warmer temperatures on Tuesday melted quite a bit of the snow on the ground. The warm temperatures were blown into the area by winds from the south.
Another round of colder air is expected to move in later this week, but Kallas says there isn’t any significant snow in the ten day forecast.
