APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Several Appleton North High School students are helping those needing COVID-19 shots.
They partnered with the Multicultural Coalition to lead a free pop-up vaccine clinic Thursday afternoon at Appleton North.
The clinic featured snacks, free books for kids and on-site education with translators in several languages.
Two of the students who led the effort say they started a group at the school which is dedicated to showing students how choices they make impact their health.
“It’s so important, especially right now with COVID cases on the rise,” Isabella Leiva said. “We really want to get back to our normal lifestyle. So we want to make sure that we are trying to get as many people as we can vaccinated.”
There is a second vaccination clinic led by the group coming up on February 17th at Appleton North.
