ROSENDALE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Voters in the Rosendale-Brandon School District will decide on a nearly $30 million plan that would close one school building and expand the high school to grades 6-12.
The $29.77 million referendum will be on the ballot April 5, the school board decided this week.
The money would be used to expand Laconia High School into a high and middle school, as well as renovate the career, technical and agricultural education areas; convert Rosendale Intermediate School into a 4K-5 building; renovate Brandon Elementary School; and make district-wide safety, security and infrastructure upgrades.
It would close Rosendale Primary School, leaving just three schools in the district.
District leaders plan to hold informational meetings over the next few months where community members can learn more about the plans for each building.
