ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) — It’s not going to be Ice Bowl II between the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers this weekend for the NFC Divisional Playoff round.
It’s still going to be really cold.
“We’re expecting highs in the lower 20s or higher teens during the day on Saturday, but those temperatures will start to drop in the afternoon and evening hours,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Scott Berschbeck.
It’s a primetime matchup, so it’ll kick off right as things start to get really chilly.
“By the time the game starts temps will have fallen through the teens and we’ll be close to the single digits before midnight,” Berschbeck added.
Wind Chills will make it feel around zero, or even below.
“Most folks around here are pretty used to the cold weather. But if you’re going to be out for more than 30 minutes or so, you’re going to want to dress up in layers, cover as much skin as you can,” said Berschbeck. “And you should really limit your time outdoors.”
Kickoff is set for 7:15 pm on Saturday.
