GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Green Bay Packers now know who’s coming to town this weekend. The San Francisco 49ers will make their way from the temperate Bay Area to the frozen tundra of Lambeau on Saturday.
Ticket King’s Travis Loftus says sales started to pick up the moment the 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys to move to the Divisional Round.
“We’ve seen a lot of movement…we saw a bunch of sales overnight. A couple hundred seats sold,” Loftus said Monday.
Ticket prices jumped up, too. You can get into the game for around $240.
While it’s not going to be ice-bowl levels of cold, it’s going to be cold enough. Temps will be falling through the teens and into the single digits during the game. Wind Chills will make it feel around zero, or even below. Loftus says some Niners fans may still travel.
“Their fans do travel pretty well, it’s not as good as the Cowboy fans travel, but they will show up here,” said Loftus.
They’ll be landing at the airport to quite the shock. Weather this weekend in San Francisco is expected to be in the low 60s.
