MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Six people were injured in a series of crashes on Interstate 41 in Winnebago County Thursday.
Deputies say they received reports of a crash just before 7:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-41 in the area of County II and Winchester.
Lt. Craig Quick told FOX 11 that eight passenger cars and one commercial motor vehicle were involved in several different crashes in that area.
He says the event that initiated the sequence is still under investigation.
Six people were taken to the hospital with injuries ranging from mild to severe, but not life-threatening.
The road was closed at US Highway 10 for nearly two hours after the crash.
